The 1st training module from 2021 will introduce us to the fundamentals of Sandplay Therapy. Trainers are Rosalind Heiko and Marina Ionescu, ISST.

About the training
27 - 28 FebruaryTeaching Members Mrs. Marina Ionescu, ISST and Dr. Roz Heiko, ISST lead an exciting training on Sandplay Foundations covering all Sandplay topics and Jungian concepts as they apply to Kalffian Sandplay. We will explore the Origin Story, Lineage; History of Sandplay Therapy and the Jungian Theoretical Basics needed in sandplay therapy such as: the structure of psychic, the dynamic of psyche, symbolic process. Also, we will have the perspective of Neurobiological Research Applications, Personal Process (why this is crucial to learning Sandplay), themes in sandplay including all the dynamic elements of wind, fire, earth & water (why these are indispensable), how the Powers of Play underlie core Symbol, Space, Placement, Presence, Containment, Boundaries. Theoretical concepts will be illustrated by case-material.
We welcome psychologists, psychotherapists, doctors and school counsellors across the world to join us online.
The fee for 2 days of training is 100 euro, that can be paid in our bank account as follows: 50% will be paid in advance by 20 February (the advance will not be repaid in case of no participation), the other 50% will be paid by 27 February.

Dr. Roz Heiko is an international Sandplay Therapist and ISST Trainer, also a Play Therapist, Family Therapist and EMDR practitioner.
Marina Ionescu is the first ISST Trainer from Romania and uses Sandplay in her office for more than 10 years. She is also an AT therapist and ericksonian hypnotherapist.
It is a therapeutic method developed by Dora M. Kalff, in Zollikon, Switzerland, based on the psychological principles of C.G.Jung. It is a creative form of therapy using the imagination, characterized by the use of sand, water and miniatures in the creation of images within a “free and protected space” of the therapeutic relationship and the sand tray. A series of Sandplay images portrayed in the sand tray create an ongoing dialogue between the conscious and the unconscious aspects of the client’s psyche, which activates a healing process and the development of the personality. This therapeutic method may be successfully applied to individual work with both adults and children. (please see www.isst-society.com)
